CBI Stands by its Decision to Close Bofors Case

Legal News India: The CBI informed a special court that there was no change in its plan to close cases against Ottavio Quattrocchi, an Italian businessman and alleged recipient of bribe in the Bofors case. The CBI stood its ground despite the income tax tribunal verdict that bribery had played a part in the Bofors deal

The income tax tribunal ruled that Ottavio Quattrocchi and Win Chadha (his now deceased partner) got more than Rs. 412 million commission in the gun deal.
