Ex-Telecom Minister Arrested

Legal News India: Former Telecom Minister A Raja has been arrested today, along with his two aides – former personal secretary R K Chandolia and telecom secretary Siddartha Behura – in relation to the 2G spectrum scam. The three have been arrested for allegedly using their official position to manipulate procedures to benefit some companies in getting spectrum in return for monetary settlement.

The arrest came after Raja had been interrogated four times by the CBI for more than two months after he was forced to put in his resignation.

CBI officials claimed that Raja did not cooperate with them during the investigation and attempted to evade several questions.
