Legal News India: Despite the CBI seeking to close the Aarushi murder case, Union Law Minister M. Veerappa Moily stated that the government will examine the lapses in investigation. He said, “There are some cases where clue can’t be obtained. This is one such case…we need to know why it couldn’t be done….”
Aarushi Talwar, on May 16, 2008, was found murdered mysteriously in her home in Jalvayu Vihar, NOIDA. Initially, the police had suspected the Talwar family’s domestic help, Hemraj, for the murder. However, he too was found murdered on the same flat’s terrace the next day. The CBI sought closure of this murder case claiming lack of evidence as a justification.
