guardian's name in Passport

I am a female, 33 yrs old. I have a 8 year old son. I was divorced and remarried in 2007. The natural father of my child is not in any contact with us. I have recently got a court order giving me custody of child. We had executed adoption deed for my son and my new husband.
In passport form, can I now put my new husband's name in the 'Father\Legal Guardian' field? passport office is in bangalore

ya definitely you can put his name because after adoption ceremonies Adoptive fathe have all the legal rights for his son
according to sec-12 of Hindu adoption and maintenance act 1956
12.Effects of adoption. An adopted child shall be deemed to be the child of his or her adoptive father or mother for all purposes with effect from the date of the adoption
my name is nilendra.i would like to confirm one thing.my guradian name is on passport, its my grand father name.is necessarily on passport to father name....?(my father is no more that's why i mentioned ,my grand pa name)
