High Level Enquiry Commission To Probe CWG Corruption Allegations
India Legal News: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has commissioned a high level inquiry team that will investigate alleged corruption and mismanagement marred Commonwealth Games, which were held in New Delhi this month.
The committee will be headed by General V. K. Shunglu, a former Comptroller and Auditor. On the other hand, both Home Minister P. Chidambaram and Suresh Kalmadi, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, have agreed to cooperate with the investigation. The Commonwealth Games had myriad problems, right from planning, shoddy construction, delays, allegation of corruptions, favouritism, mishaps and freak incidents.
The government has spent hundreds and thousands of crores on the games, which are held once in four years among countries of the former British Empire.
From the day of independence, from every project, the taxpayer’s money is ransacked and shared among the scoundrels. Common Wealth Games also repeated the same. As usual there is an inquiry, all the big fishes will be saved and a scapegoat will be crucified for the scoundrels escape.
Very True Gee Jay. My only concern is who will step ahead and raise the voice?
