India Law News: A Brief Biography of Justice KG Balakrishnan
Konakuppakatil Gopinathan Balakrishnan was born on 12th May, 1945 at Thalayolaparambu, near Vaikom. Born in a poor family, he rose to occupy the country’s highest position in the judiciary, as the 37th Chief Justice of India. In June 2007, he was sworn in as the Chief Justice of India by President APJ Abdul Kalam.
Indian Law News: The Early Years of Justice KG Balakrishnan in Overcoming Caste Prejudices
Much has been written about the fact that he is India’s first Dalit Chief Justice but what remains unspoken is about the social prejudices he had to overcome to get access to education in a society that did not recognize his rights as an equal. In a country like India, it is not easy to overcome social prejudices, particularly relating to caste. The beliefs relating to caste are so ingrained in the Indian mind that no one can question it or overcome it without facing many painful stumbling blocks.
He has spoken in several interviews that his parents were his only source of inspiration. His father had done matriculation and his mother had studied only up to the seventh standard but they had given their children the best education.
He completed primary education at the government school in his village. He used to walk about 5 kilometers by foot to reach the school. Thereafter, he joined the well-known Maharajas College at Ernakulam. Following this, he took his Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Maharaja’s Law College in Ernakulam and enrolled as an advocate in 1968 and completed his master’s degree in law in 1971.
In those days, the society in Kerala was dominated by a stringent form of caste system. The fact that he could overcome these prejudices and become the Chief Justice of India is of great significance. In fact, it marks a historical moment of remarkable change, not just for the country but for the top echelons of the Indian judiciary as well.
With his characteristic simplicity, Justice KG Balakrishnan views those difficult years as years of learning because he was inspired by his parents to pursue education as his priority in life.

As a person, there are no pretenses about Justice KG Balakrishnan because he is known for his simplicity, humility and gentle nature. Whether it is to media icons like Karan Thapar, or with members of the legal fraternity, Justice KG Balakrishnan speaks straight from the heart.
At the farewell function that took place on 11th May 2010, Justice Kapadia (who has sworn in as the CJI today) stated that they have disagreed on many occasions but “Justice Balakrishnan never treated those who differed with the view as opponents.”
He further emphasized, “This is the quality of Justice Balakrishnan.” Indeed, there are many fine qualities that make Justice K.G. Balakrishnan a warm, caring person and those who know him well will never dispute his compassionate nature.
Media reports indicate that Justice K.G. Balakrishnan is likely to be the new Chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on May 12, 2010.

Yeah, KGB can do a lot of things being the Chairman of NHRC. NHRC is not having an outspoken Chairman after Justice Verma. If he is going to be the Chairman of NHRC, expect some fire works. This guy doesn't seem to be as scholarly as K.R.Narayanan, but has the same concern for people and compassion.

Nirmala and has three children, K B Prdeep, K B Sony and K B Rany and all of them are lawyers. Son in law, P V Sreenijan is married to Sony and is an advocate and a congress candidate. The thief Raja,Tata etc appears to have given 9 crores to KG Balakrishnan. Son in law P V Sreenijan who had no land in Kerala in 2006 now owns vast areas of land and houses everywhere in Kerala. Balakrishnan had reiterated the same statement after a month in a press conference also and termed the incident “as a closed chapter.” Nira Radia tape also talk about the clean chit given by Balakrishnan to Raja. On 7-7-2009, just two days after Balakrishnan absolved Raja in the media interview, British muslim spy Nira Radia referred the episode to Ratan Tata. “Yeah, I met Raja today. I went to see him today and he is alright. He is a happy man. The Chief Justice has given his clearance on him and he’s happy. He’s really happy with that,” says Radia to Tata. K G Balakrishnan is a Christian planted by Rome Mary Sonia as Chief Justice, as part of global conversion agenda. K G Balakrishnan's father was a christian by name Lookose. Thus the name in the church registry is Balakrishnan Lookose. Balakrishnan’s father Lookose changed his name as Gopinathan to usurp the benefits of SC-ST Hindus. He later got retired in a high post from Kerala High court. K G Balakrishnan's daughter and son in law Sri Nijan was sponsored by World Council of Church to complete higher education in law in London. World Council of Church is a Vatican sponsored organisation with an annual budget of 145 Billion dollar and their aim is global evangelisation. K G Balakrishnan was a pawn planted by Vatican to take favourable verdict for converted Christians in a case registered in 2004 with case number180. Once get a favourable verdict converted Christians can get all benefits granted by Constitution to SC-ST Hindus. By this Vatican can intensify their conversion agenda.

These corrupt christians are doing more harm to SC- ST Hindus. K G Balakrishnan was made High Court judge with special recruitment by former president K R Narayanan.
KR Narayanan was also a christian convert but claimed to be a Hindu to get the reservation. K G Balakrishnan's brother is another Christian Advocate K G Bhaskaran was earlier suspended from practice for taking bribe when his wife was Magistrate.Later this suspension was revoked following the interference of K G Balakrishnan. This tainted Advocate K G Bhaskaran was made Government pleader by Achuthanandan Government in Kerala. The complete silence of CPM over this KGB episode owe to their links with this tainted family. These christian coverts are christians in church and practice, but in Government records claim SC-ST staus meant for Hindus. Kerala SC – ST federation Advocate K V Kumaran, recently revealed this explosive information about former Chief Justice of India K G Balakrishnan and his family. Christians cheat SC-ST hindus in India and usurp their reservation. If one goes to IIT Chennai all those who got in to IIT on SC ST reservation goes to church on Sundays and they are supported by the christian staff and provided with a website as well for them. This thief Balakrishnan was rewarded by Sonia with the Chairmanship of HRC on his retirement. Lying Balakrishnan kept company with thief lying Sonia. . Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan’s was bribed by Sonia.. A Raja also paid crores to KG Balakrishnan. Thus Balakrishnans brother, his son-in-law congressman K.G. P.V. Srinijin and second son in law christian M J Benny, have become crorepatis and are under investigation by Kerala Vigilance for amassing illegal wealth during the past four years...
