Insurance company reject Accident Claim

Hi Last week my My car met with an accident and my dad was driving the car. a serious damage happens to the vehicle and we claimed for insurance. today we produce the documents for claiming the insurance but they are telling that my father's driving licence is expired(Now he is 51) because it will get cancel after the age of 50 ..what i can do now please advice me.
