Scientific Evaluation of Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple Treasure Begins

India Legal News: An evaluation of Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple treasure has been re-initiated, starting today.  The Supreme Court has ordered videography of all precious items found during the process of stocking to the appointed 5 member committee.  To conduct a scientific evaluation of the ancient treasures, the SC has instated CV Ananda Bose, Director General of National Museum, who will be heading the committee.  Although security remains the top priority for the Kerala government, Asianet TV did report faulty metal detectors at the entrance of the famed temple, a fact confirmed by the local police.

The scientific evaluation will be verified and assessed by the other members of the committee which includes a representative from the RBI and one member each from the ASI (Archaeological Survey of India), the Kerala state government and one temple executive officer plus a nominee of Travancore royal family.
