HIV Laws in India

In India, every individual is treated on the principle of equality. Another principle is that of non-discrimination, which proposes that there should be equal distribution of interests and rights in a given society. In India, the deplorable social status of HIV+ patients continues to remain unaddressed. HIV laws are meant to safeguard their rights because over 2.3 million Indians (0.34%) are infected by the HIV (Human Immuno –deficiency virus).
