De-freezing of Demat Accounts by the IT Department
Wed, 04/07/2010 - 12:33 — LIG ReporterIn early April, 2010, the Income Tax (IT) department suggested de-freezing of around 100 demat accounts, which were frozen by the National Securities Depository Ltd (NSDL Central Securities Depository Ltd and CSDL on January 1, 2007. These accounts were frozen on account of failure to comply with SEBI’s mandatory requirement to furnish PAN card details while transacting in financial markets.
