India Law News: Justice S.H. Kapadia Sworn in as India's 38th CJI
Wed, 05/12/2010 - 08:47 — LIG ReporterJustice S H Kapadia began his career as an advocate at the Bombay bar in 1974. In 1991, he was elevated as a judge to the Bombay High Court. Today, he has sworn in as the country’s 38th CJI (Chief Justice of India), thereby occupying the country’s highest judicial office. He will take the place of Justice KG Balakrishnan who retired as the CJI on 11th May, 2010.
