Forgery

Any kind of forgery is an offence as per Indian laws. Recently, a controversial case was reported on rent receipt forgery. In June, 2010, the Delhi High Court ruled that a person’s dismissal from employment on the ground of rent receipt forgery is justified. The court further observed that the element of trust that forms the basis of employee-employer relationship is necessary. Once this element of trust is broken, the employer shall not be forced to retain the employee, in whom he has lost faith and credibility.
