Indian Company Laws: How to Register a Company

Indian company laws for establishing a company, including public as well as private undertaking, are governed by the Companies Act, 1956. Section 609 of the Companies Act authorizes Registrars of Companies (ROC) in different States and Union Territories, to register a company in India. The ROCs are also held liable under the act to ensure that the firms abide by the legal prerequisites under the Act.
