The date - May 21, 2010 - proved to be a memorable day for the Indian Hockey Federation (IHF). The Delhi High Court’s ruling on de-recognition of IHF sent a sigh of relief to the IHF. The IHF was not only de-recognized by the Centre but also de-affiliated by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) following the release of a video that showed its IHF secretary accepting bribe in 2008.
