Maternity leave

The Maternity Benefits Act, 1961 enables working women to maintain a healthy and stress-free lifestyle. The Act entitles women to receive leave before and after six weeks of delivery, with average pay. However, for this condition to be levied, the female employee must have served at least 160 days in the 12 months preceding the expected date of delivery.
