Modesty

I must confess at the outset that I am a layperson with almost no knowledge of the intricacies of the Indian legal system. But, there has been something that has bothered me for many years, ever since I was a young college student and my mother would be very worried about what I wear to class, lest I provoke the viler instincts of some boys. She seemed to believe that it was up to me to either encourage or stop sexually harassing behavior of others towards me.
