“There is Something Rotten in Allahabad HC”: SC Upholds Its Remark

Legal News India: The SC, on December 10, stated that it would uphold its remark about the presence of something “rotten” in the Allahabad High Court. The apex court maintained its belief that the “uncle judges syndrome” was rampant in the Allahabad HC which required immediate cleansing.

The SC bench comprising Justice Markandey Katju and Justice Gyan Sudha Mishra dismissed the HC’s plea for expunging the remarks but explained that there were some “excellent and good judges too”.
