Essentials of Hindu Marraige interms of Hindu Marraige Act requires Spatapadi as one of the essential ceremony for valid marraige. But it says if the marriage is also interms of established customs then it becomes valid in law.
Hindu law very elaborates ceremonies and rites for their marriage, Hindu marriage may be validly performing the shastric rites and ceremonies recognised by Hindu law, these are kanyadan, panigrahan, vivah-haman and saptapadi. saptapadi is mandatory, Hindu Marriage Act lays down that where the rites and ceremonies include saptapadi the marriage become complete and binding when the seven step is taken. therefore proof of saptapadi is essential for valid marriage, marriage without requisite ceremonies is null and void
How to get rid of such an arrangement in which none of these ceremonies is held (i.e. null and void)?
